"Third District Officer of the Month" for March 2026
On 03/12/26, Officer’s Hemingway and Le conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of a female offender. The Offender was arrested and charged with VMCSL x2 and possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On 03/17/26, Officer’s Hemingway and Le conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of the offender. The offender was charged with Trespassing 1st Degree. Later that day, Officer’s Hemingway and Le conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of an offender. The offender was charged with "Animal Abuse."
On 03/26/26, Officer’s Hemingway and Le conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of a female offender. The offender was charged with VMCSL and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Later that day, Officer’s Hemingway and Le conducted an investigation and arrested a male offender. The offender was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm- dangerous felon, trafficking 1st Degree\UUW Subsection 11 On 3/25/26 Officer’s Hemingway and Le were patrolling the Benton Park neighborhood and observed a known suspect wanted for Burglary 1st Degree from District 3. Officers ordered the offender to stop running, but he refused. The offender was located at the Furr Smoke Shop & Market and taken into custody.
On 03/27/26 Officer’s Hemingway and Le conducted a high-risk search warrant resulting in 4 arrests with weapons and narcotics all seized all being seized. One Offender was also wanted for "Endangering the Welfare of a Child."
Officer’s Hemingway and Le’s actions for the month of March, earned them special recognition as recipients of the 3rd District Officer of the Month Award.
"Third District Officer of the Month" for April 2026
PO Sean Miskovic DSN 11874 and PO Chase Guerrero DSN 12338
Throughout April 2026, these officers demonstrated outstanding proactive police work and dedication to public safety within District Three. Their efforts resulted in numerous arrests involving violent offenders, narcotics trafficking, weapons violations, stolen vehicles, and felony warrants.
Most notably, the officers conducted an extensive investigation in the 3600 block of Illinois that led to the largest residential search warrant in SLMPD history involving a 36-unit apartment complex. Assisted by SLMPD SWAT, FBI SWAT, U.S. Marshals, and DEI, the operation resulted in 13 arrests, 63 summonses, multiple firearms recovered, and large quantities of narcotics seized, significantly improving neighborhood safety.
Their continued proactive enforcement and dedication to removing violent offenders and narcotics from the community reflect exceptional work ethic and professionalism, making them highly deserving of the “Officer of the Month” award. Officer’s Miskovic and Officer Guerrero’s actions for the month of April, earned them special recognition as recipients of the 3rd District Officer of the Month Award.


"Third District Officer of the Month" for May 2026
PO Zachary Corder DSN 12335
Police Officer Zachary Corder, DSN 12335, launched an investigation relative to a dangerous
convicted felon involved in the sales of illegal firearms and narcotics distribution. A search
warrant was executed with the assistance of Police Officers from District 3, SWAT, Mobile
Reserve and an NGA Police Officer, along with his K9. The search warrant revealed one riflestyle firearm, two handgun-style firearms, and fentanyl was located. A computer inquiry of the
firearms revealed the rifle, and one of the two handguns were stolen. All contraband was seized
and the male suspect who was the target of the investigation was arrested. Information gained
contribution to an ongoing investigation following the search warrant on the suspects cellphone.
Officer Corder’s actions for the month of May, earned him special recognition as the recipient of
the 3rd District Officer of the Month Award
"Fourth District Officers of the Month" for January 2026
PO Molly Hanson DSN 11786 and PO Luke Sherrill DSN 12378
P.O. Molly Hanson, DSN 11786 & P.O. Luke Sherrill, DSN 12378, distinguished themselves in the month of January 2026
for the following:
On 1/13/26 Officers Hanson and Sherrill responded to 3427 Washington Ave., relative to an AID Call from EMS and Fire.
Both officers responded swiftly and observed the offender who was armed with a knife in the front lobby. Officer Hanson
and Sherrill utilized their tactics and deployed a taser on the armed suspect who was taken into custody without incident.
The charges of UUW-4, Resisting Arrest and Assault were issued.
On 1/21/26 Officers Hanson and Sherrill conducted a traffic stop in a high crime neighborhood relative to a narcotics
investigation. The officers observed the driver, who is a convicted felon and a violent offender with an extensive criminal
history, hide a firearm inside of the vehicle. The firearm was located, and the suspect additionally was in possession of
crack cocaine. The charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, UUW-11, and VMCSL were issued.
On 1/22/26 Officers Hanson and Sherrill responded to 11th/ Salisbury relative to a radio assignment for a suspect who fled
from Missouri Highway Patrol. The suspect crashed his vehicle into a marked patrol vehicle and fled on foot. Officer
Hanson and Sherrill conducted a rapid investigation where they were able to identify the suspect who fled and located him
in another vehicle attempting to escape. While apprehending the offender, who is also a convicted felon, the officers
located a handgun.
During the month of January, Officers Hanson and Sherrill made an impressive 22 arrests, resulting in a total of 107
charges.
Officer Hanson and Officer Sherrill’s exceptional performance in January 2026, earned them the distinction of being
honored with the “Fourth District Officer of the Month” award.

"Fourth District Officers of the Month" for February 2026
PO Ethan Novak DSN 12298 and PO Ethan Sharpe DSN 12793
During the month of February 2026, Officer Matthew Novack and Officer Ethan Sharpe distinguished himself in the
month of February for the following:
-On 2/5/26 officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a stole license plate. Officers seized the plate, notified
the detective bureau and arrested the driver on felony warrants (VMCSL).
-On 2/6/26 officers conducted a traffic stop, resulting in the driver being arrested for an active misdemeanor warrant.
-On 2/7/26 officers contacted RTCC for any LPR hits. An area canvass revealed an Assault 1st vehicle. A pursuit
was initiated which resulted in the offender later abandoning the vehicle and being taken into custody after a foot
pursuit. A “Micro-Draco” was recovered from the suspect, with several felony related charges being issued.
- On 2/28/26, officers initiated a pedestrian check, relative to a subject who had an active warrant for “Assault 1st”,
that they previously were aware of. The subject was also found in possession of narcotics during his arrest.
The two officers made several self-initiated arrests, issued 43 uniform citations, seized one gun, recovered stolen
property and made drug seizures. Due to their hard work and dedication, dangerous criminals were removed from
the street.

Police Officer Delvon Anderson and Police Officer Joseph Schuessel distinguished themselves in the month of May for
the following:
On June 1, 2026, Officer Anderson and Officer Schuessel responded to a call involving an armed subject near the
intersection of North Broadway and Lucas Avenue. Upon arriving, officers located the suspect and gave multiple
commands for him to get on the ground. The suspect refused and attempted to flee. Officer Anderson deployed his
TASER, but it was ineffective.
As officers continued giving commands and attempted to take the suspect into custody, the suspect produced a knife and
began moving toward Officer Anderson while refusing repeated commands to drop the weapon. Officer Anderson
discharged his firearm in response to the immediate threat. Even after being struck, the suspect continued advancing
toward officers with the knife still in his hand. Officer Anderson fired additional rounds to stop the threat. The suspect
was taken into custody and transported for medical treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Both officers remained calm and professional while facing a dangerous and rapidly evolving situation. Their actions
protected themselves, their fellow officers, and members of the public. The incident highlights the courage, training, and
sound judgment both officers displayed under extremely stressful circumstances.
In addition to their actions during this critical incident, Officer Anderson and Officer Schuessel continued to be
productive throughout the month of May. Despite being away from work for a period of time following the officer involved shooting, they still recorded a combined 18 arrests and 47 charges.
For their bravery, professionalism, and continued commitment to serving the City of St. Louis, Police Officer Delvon
Anderson and Police Officer Joseph Schuessel are deserving of recognition as the Fourth District Officers of the Month
for May 2026
